Chapter of Life is a life drawing event inspired by the ways our bodies change over time, growing out of watching someone I love change and noticing how memory can keep them still.
We begin small, grow into ourselves, and later become small in new ways again.
Across three 40-minute posing rounds, the model’s poses will move through three stages of life: in the first 40 minutes, they will resemble childhood; in the second, adulthood; and in the third, a later stage of life. We’ll draw one body through three chapters—arriving, becoming, and returning—and explore how time shifts a body’s weight, balance, and gestures.
