Old Master paintings often give us a glimpse of the story through the poses of their figures. A tilt of the head, a gesture of the hand, or the curve of a body can bring life to the stillness, even after hundreds of years.
In this session, our model Kana, a Butoh dancer with incredibly expressive body language, will take inspiration from these gestures and compositions. Through drawing, we will give them a second life in our own sketches.
As usual, the session will include around two hours of drawing time, moving from short to long poses, with breaks in between.
